The Cabinet approved a draft Amiri Decision to establish the Qatar Award for Nationalisation in the Private Sector. It does so by recognising the institutions that meet nationalisation targets and contribute to the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Third National Development Strategy’s goal of creating a future-ready workforce, while honouring outstanding Qatari professionals, forward-thinking leaders and innovative entrepreneurs working in the private sector.
The Cabinet decided to take the necessary measures to ratify the General Agreement establishing the Arab Common Market for Electricity; a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on social insurance cooperation between the governments of the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait, and an MoU on industrial export development between the two countries.
The Cabinet additionally approved a proposal for the State of Qatar to join the Near East Plant Protection Organization (NEPPO) and ratified a draft agreement on airfreight services between the governments of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Kiribati.
The session concluded with the Cabinet reviewing two reports. The first detailed the outcomes of the participation of a State of Qatar delegation, led by HE the Minister of Labour, in the 352nd session of the International Labour Organization’s Governing Body. The second report outlined the outcomes of the participation of a State of Qatar delegation, headed by HE the Minister of Public Health, in the 9th Meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council’s Ministerial Committee for Food Safety.
