4/2/2025

The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, in collaboration with various ministries, authorities, and state institutions, joined the global observance of World Autism Awareness Day on April 2, 2025. The occasion was marked by illuminating the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers building in blue, as part of a nationwide campaign aimed at raising awareness about autism.
World Autism Awareness Day, celebrated annually on April 2nd, is a globally recognized initiative dedicated to increasing understanding and acceptance of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The General Secretariat's participation underscores Qatar's commitment to promoting inclusivity and supporting individuals with autism and their families.
The designation of April 2nd as World Autism Awareness Day originates from a proposal put forth by the State of Qatar and subsequently adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in Resolution 62/139 on December 18, 2007.
